The Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Emergencies (MHPSSiE) training aims to support Red Cross Red Crescent staff and volunteers to plan and provide basic mental and psychosocial supports to people affected by emergencies. This 5 day training prepares disaster managers, emergency team leaders and psychosocial responders for work in the field by understanding basic concepts of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) as well as planning and implementing PSS activities during and after emergencies. The training is highly participatory and uses case studies and scenarios to aid learning.
