Self-care is important for everyone working in the humanitarian sector. Yet it is one of the most challenging aspect of the work. It is easy to know what to do, yet harder to do it!
The webinar will discuss the different types of stressors and which personal warning signs to heed as for example insomnia to avoid burn-out. It will also introduce the challenges of supporting families during their family reunification process, discuss useful strategies for self-care, the need for good sleep to avoid mental health and personal challenges for the self-carer. Prioritizing personal mental health and well-being is a not only a necessity; it’s an organizational and personal obligation.
PS Centre Technical advisor, Ea Suzanne Akasha, will be presenting at this closed webinar.
