Planning and M&E training

Psychosocial support is widely offered in humanitarian operations and there is evidence that early and appropriate psychosocial support reduces stress and human suffering and speeds up the recovery process. However, determining what works, how and why is a difficult and important challenge in psychosocial support programming. This knowledge is critical for delivering the best possible interventions and to keep learning and build capacity in the National Societies.

The training “Programming and M&E for psychosocial programmes” addresses this challenge. The training provides the necessary knowledge for participants to carry out assessments, develop and adapt indicators and monitor psychosocial interventions. There will be special focus on practicing the use of the PS Centre’s newly developed “Monitoring and evaluation framework”.
