Mental Health and Psychosocial Support in Mine Action

You can’t feel a positive sense of wellbeing if you are unsafe - if you are scared because you don’t know where there are mines on your land, in your community or on your way to school. On 16 November, at a side event of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention – 19th Meeting of State Parties chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, PS Centre Technical Advisor Sarah Harrison explains the role of psychological support in Mine Action.

Learn more about the importance of mental health and psychosocial support, its role as a core pillar in victim assistance within the framework of the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention and how to include MHPSS in mine action.
