The PS Centre has just released a two-page guide for Red Cross Red Crescent volunteer team leaders.
“Being a leader of Red Cross Red Crescent volunteer teams can be an enormously rewarding role. However, there can also be challenges in managing the tasks or workload, expectations of volunteers, their well-being and team dynamics. This short guidance is written for all Volunteer Managers and Volunteer Team Leaders to help them better support their volunteer teams whether they are responding to acute crises and emergencies such as armed conflict and natural disasters, or are volunteer teams providing long-term accompaniment activities, assistance and services”, says Sarah Harrison, Technical Team Lead at the IFRC Psychosocial Centre.
