Every emergency is different in terms of severity and complexity and emergency responses including mental health and psychosocial support must be adapted to the particular context. However, it is both possible and vital to establish universal capability and coherence in our MHPSS responses across the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement. It is our hope that this training package will be a foundation for National Societies in establishing, and building upon, their MHPSS responses in emergencies and to support the development of strong and competent staff and volunteer teams.
