The IFRC Psychosocial Centre is looking for a Communications Officer to manage and further develop the PS Centre communication platforms under the technical guidance of the Senior Communication Officer. The position is limited to 10 months.
Qualifications
Essential
- A solid understanding of online communication
- A solid understanding of social media administration
- Experienced in creating and distributing newsletters through Mailchimp
- Experienced in web content administration through WordPress or similar cms
- Experience with writing for web, for social media, and for newsletters
- A solid working experience with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign
- An experienced MS Office user – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Fluency in English written and spoken
Desired
- Experience with podcasting
- Experience with visual communication – video shooting, editing and motion graphics
- Experience as a photographer
- Experience with technical website administration
- Experience with other Adobe apps – Audition, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator etc.
- Experience with MHPSS in a humanitarian context
- Experience working in a value based multi-cultural organisation
- Proficiency in any of the other Red Cross Red Crescent working languages – French, Spanish, Arabic
