EU4health: Countering long-term mental health issues through training Red Cross staff in basic psychosocial support

The Refugees of the Russia-Ukraine armed conflict are at high risk of developing long-term mental health issues but early MHPSS interventions can counter this. The EU4Health project was launched in 2022 with the aim of enabling Red Cross National Societies from 25 European countries to support refugees with mental health and psychosocial support.

Oleksandra, is Ukrainian, living and working in Spain as a psychologist before the start of the war. She joined the response of the Spanish Red Cross at the start of receiving people displaced from Ukraine.
