The first edition of this glossary was published in 2023 following a collaborative and peer-reviewed development process. The present document constitutes the second, revised and expanded edition.
This revised and expanded edition incorporates additional technical terminology and reflects continued refinement based on field practice, institutional feedback and further harmonization in line with evolving MHPSS practice.
The overall development and editorial coordination of this glossary were of both editions were led by Ahlem Cheffi.
The vocabulary list contains more than 600 words in English that have been translated into Arabic through a consultative and consensus-based process. Each English terminology suggests 1 to 5 options in Arabic (both classical and modern Arabic).
