Ahlem Cheffi, PS Centre MHPSS technical advisor for the MENA region explains the concept of Psychological First Aid (PFA) in groups – Supports to teams. For the World Mental Health Day, it is important to remember that National Societies hold a duty of care towards their staff and volunteers. A three-day training has been developed by the PS Centre for trained team leaders, managers or others with responsibility for the well-being of teams of Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies staff or volunteers. Psychological First Aid (PFA) in groups – Supports to teams is a method for team leaders to care for and support their teams after a difficult event based on the principles of PFA for all and as part of the duty of care.
